It was a long time coming, but I finally got around to marking the publication of my debut novel, The Other Lamb, with some new body art. The absolutely amazing Roxy Velvet created this beautiful image for me – an olive tree growing out of a heart. As well as reminding me of my beloved Watchers, this design symbolises rebirth and eternal love. As well as being an incredible artist, Roxy also used to be a circus performer, so gave me lots of invaluable insights for The Lightning Flowers while I tried not to twitch too much under her needle! Sometimes life really does seem too serendipitous to be true…
